Ok, so Week 1 was actually last week, but I am having computer issues, so it's late. Forgive me? The fan has gone out on my laptop, so I am using a battery operated little fan and can't be on for more than an hour at a time. Editing pictures is difficult and priority has to go to pictures for my Etsy store (for items like this - Butterfly Garden Crossbody bag.
Anyway, I used some leftover clay from Jane's horse and made a stamped Arabian horse pendant. I used outdoor Patio Paint to fill in the lines. I'm fairly happy with how the stamping turned out. The mane could have used a bit more paint, but for a first attempt, I'm good with it!

Jade
Here is my second horse, Jade. She is modeled after my best friend's Hackney/Arabian mare. This was her Christmas present.
I can see lots of mistakes and things I need to work on, but improvements that I like also. The eyes were supposedly "jet black" glass beads. I think not. They are more grey.

The real Jade -
I think I got her adorable 3/4 heart fairly well!

My First Dragon!
Meet... well, he hadn't told me his name yet.
(eta: His name is Aqua.)
(eta: His name is Aqua.)
This is my second polymer clay project and I'm thrilled. He was supposed to be Frost, but the grey and blue overtook the white. It is hard to tell from this pic, but he has a pearly sheen and Swarovski crystals.
For now, I believe he is going to stay like this. I thought about doing a grey patina, but I don't think so. I was going to attempt to sand and buff him, but not sure if that'd be possible with all the add-ons.
He will be featured on my Christmas necklace.
This project was inspired by Christi Friesen's Dragons book.

Welcome!
Welcome to my new page! I recently got interested in polymer clay sculptures. Then I found out about the 2015 Polymer Clay Challenge, where you make at least one polymer clay item each week. I have made one pony sculpture and am in love with the medium. So I'm taking the Challenge and will post about it here. I'm most interested in making ponies and dragons. I do have plans to sell in the future, once I make something I deem worthy :)
